The Presbyterian Publishing Corporation (PPC), including Westminster John Knox Press and Geneva Press, strives to maintain compliance with United States Copyright Law. We provide these guidelines to assist those wishing to utilize PPC materials.
Fair Use Guidelines
Fair use is not specifically defined; however, small portions of text may be utilized without seeking permission if the source is properly credited.
Churches and small groups may reproduce up to five pages of original content from a book for study use with a limit of fifteen copies. It is the responsibility of the person making copies to ascertain that the material is original to the PPC publication and has not been utilized from another source. A proper credit line should be reproduced on each copy.
These are general guidelines. Please refer to the Copyright Office Web site at http://www.copyright.gov/ for more specific copyright information. If you have questions about PPC publications, please feel free to contact us:
