In this Advent book with a difference, striking reflections and images combine to teach us to discover light in dark times, open ourselves to the possibility of newness and to become bearers of light ourselves. Daily seasonal meditations focus on: Advent as a time of waiting, which can occur in our lives at any time. Whether we are waiting for a darkness to pass or yearning for a light to come, learning how to wait in Advent will enable us better to understand how to negotiate the waiting times whenever they come, and to give that waiting our care and attention. Christmas and its capacity to nurture within us an openness to new possibilities coming into being, unseen, unlikely, unnoticed.
