Read an Excerpt
Lent is a period of self-reflection and action, and this book guides readers through a distinctive Lenten journey, urging them to view the marginalized through God’s eyes, reflect on how privilege and uncertainties can cloud our spiritual sight, and cultivate endurance in justice work with reliance on God’s provision. This guide presents a Lenten sermon series based on Hard and Holy Work. You are invited to preach through this material as your congregants read the Bible study and participate in small-group discussions. This guide provides sermon ideas for each weekly text from Exodus.
To further assist your group study and preaching, watch the chapter introduction videos featuring the authors of the book.
